How beautiful. And I'm awestruck by how your woods has no undergrowth. Perhaps an older woods is the reason...or maybe our more temperate climate, but we've got lots of vines and bushes so you can walk from one tree to the next!

Barb, there is undergrowth in the woods where sunlight gets in, but the dense tree canopy on this part of the trail prevents light from reaching the forest floor, so there is little or no growth coming up. There are (however) a few leggy beech daughters.

Just Beautiful... There is something about the "orderliness" of these pole trees that calms me; the "orderliness" of nature. I can't imagine what it must feel like to actually walk *through* them! Sigh...
