I have a set of tubular bells wind-chimes, put away. They are a bit too loud for the small area of my apartment next to other's windows. I'd guess most of these retirees sleep regular hours...but never know when wind might be ringing the chimes.

And hidden within that silent sequester is a bell... just waiting to be wrung again. Beautiful imagery! Beautiful metaphor...

The image takes me away to silent meditation retreat in Central Wisconsin. Long sits indoors, followed by silent walking in the gardens. A silent bell hangs under a quiet space in the grape arbor. Sometimes when i sit indoors, I imagine to hear the unique timbre of the bell. Looking at this photo, I once again imagine that haunting sound and cling to the memory of sitting in Central Wisconsin.
