With our crazy wet climate I do not see these often enough. I saw white ones the size of salad plates in California a few weeks ago. I was walking with family and failed to get a photo which I now regret.
Oh how lovely! And timely...I am painting poppies on mugs, in a style emulating O'Keeffe. And now FB is sending me lots of photos of them too! I'll be happy to share yours (and give you attribution as well.)

I love poppies! This photo captures an "aliveness" that feels positively energizing. :-)
