Into the Woods...

There are mornings when the trail through the deep snow, the whiskery trees along its verges and the long blue shadows across the path speak more eloquently than I can ever do, standing here freezing with my camera and notebook and trying to figure out how to describe this place on the edge of the woods.

If I never spoke again or wrote another word, would it matter in the greater scheme of things? Sometimes I wonder... These wild wonders speak and sing for themselves.

Of course it would matter. Your words and pictures are like a lantern on a dark path lighting the way. You may never meet us out here in cyberspace but we are all going the same way looking for those familiar markers and knowing when we find one, like your blog that it is a touchstone.

I am always glad you are here!

Is it silly of me I thought you said the "whiskey trees"? And my next thought was, "It comes from trees"? lol...

And yes, it would matter, Cate. Your blog is a beacon in this world of chaos. It's a quiet time spent with a kindred spirit. Where will you take us tomorrow?

If every being is included in the greater scheme of things, then yes, Cate, it would matter to me.
