This is a lovely scene and I had an interesting experience when I opened your post. I just had the feeling of cooperation and companionship between the snow and the tree. I didn't get the feeling that the tree was burdened by the snow at all, but accepting and allowing and in partnership -- the snow needed for moisture and providing ground cover, the tree strong and a part of the circle of life that is created in the forest.

Thank you for sharing your world, Cate. It's a beauty!

Snow - so far - has totally escaped my area. Your images remind me that there is beautiful snow out there.
