Falling Red

There are a few scattered leaves that hold as much color as the ones you've captured, but we're seeing mostly just a golden blush so far. Just waiting for that one, shocking frost, I guess. :)

No leaves turning in my area as of yet. I know it is around the corner. Even the images of your leaves are beautiful.

I was thinking of you and Spencer this morning as I made my way to work through the very inner-urban environment in which I live. It was quite early in the morning and I could hear the birds, feel the cool of the season and enjoy the emerging light of the young Sun. There was a golden-haired dog at a neighbour's gate, seeming to ponder leaping it and perhaps escaping into the streets. The morning is still full of possibility, you see!

The leaves we see are blowing along the bitumen streets but I remember your posts and see the beauty that is here, although in a different form.

Bless you and your friends for sharing your experiences and ways of seeing.

The leaves aren't turning here just yet, but I can't wait to start seeing the beautiful signs of autumn. Nothing better than watching the seasons change while bundling up and spending more time with the family.

Ps. I'll have to add this to my backgrounds folder :)

in response to your qt. - i prefer you republishing even though that is a lot of work. i load my photos directly to blogger and let blogger host them. can you do that or would it be more time consuming? i have never used flicker.

if you don't have the time to republish the photos/posts, then please leave the words in place - do not delete. your work is far too informative and much too beautiful to have posts totally disappear. it would be such a loss. :(

leaves are beginning to turn here, but it will be another week or two before we see the peak beauty of the season. the nights are dropping into the high 40s now - we are almost there!

i scrolled back, cate, and saw a few missing images here and there until i got to may. may seems to be the month with the most work to do to correct the problem. (but, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? i would hate for you to do alot of work while the issue continues.) beyond that i saw nothing amiss, all the way back to mid december. as i scrolled back into the archives i was reminded of why i wrote what i did in the post above. the work you put here is such a gift to us all. the consistently beautiful photography and words so generously shared here are stunning. i was a bit overwhelmed, in fact, because i took it all in as i scrolled, seeing the larger expanse of your photography skills, the magnificent beauty of your world in image after image.
