Still raining here, and the night was chock full of thunder, lightening, ozone and precipitation. . . Cassie and I spent most of the night in her closet sanctuary (or bolt hole), and I slept sitting up with Little Brown Girl in my arms. This morning, the sound of the gentle rain is soothing stuff, and my thoughts are of cups of tea and afternoon naps.

It sounds like the world is shaking and shuddering with storms, how wonderful. I love it when it's like that. I wish I could get those coconut chocolate pineapple pieces to you so you can have them with you cup of tea.
I had a poodle who had 'noise' issues. But, I had a method to desensitize her.
Way Back when, there was an orchestra that specialized in tropical noise music. When she would begin to be nervous. I would play one and let her bark at it. Worked everytime.
Gave her control over her fear.
