Mama Says Om - Gift

The first roses of the summer blooming in the garden - their colour, their fragrance, their velvety dew-speckled texture a few minutes after sunrise, the rich cream at their verges moving through shades of rosy pink and apricot, inward to a perfect cupped golden heart.

Exquisite.

The colour of your roses is exquisite. I love the way the water droplets seem suspended on the rose petals.

The color here is just beautiful! I like the way you have cropped the images. It reminds me of Georgia O'Keefe's response to the question, "Why do you paint flowers so big?" She answered, "Why do you paint the ocean so small?"

PS: Thank you for your note of encouragement about making new friends.

Thank you for your daily posts and photos...you are my morning ritual. I live in the desert and I envy the plethora of vegetation where you live. My creative women friends and I celebrate on the solstice and equinox...do you have any ideas to share about celebrating these holidays?

Lovely photographs as always, we've had 48 hours of heavy rain here and my roses don't like it at all, poor Felicite Parmentier is just turning brown, she hates getting wet. Hopefully the others will recover if it ever dries up again.
