Hallelujah Blue

Hallelujah, can it be? Do my eyes deceive me? Perhaps I am hallucinating. There is blue sky showing through the dining room window this morning, and I feel like rushing outside and dancing madly in the wet grass, doing an impromptu solo fandanquillo with clicking castanets and my arms upraised.

Blue skies in a November such as the one we are having this year, are rare, and I was beginning to think that I would not be seeing blue skies again until the deep freeze days of January. The lack of snow has certainly been an issue during the last few days, and so (it appears) has the lack of sunshine and blue sky.

This may be the closest to blue sky that I get for a while. It is snowing and snowing and snowing here in Juneau. The car across the street has been buried in it. The world is white, but the sky is gray and legislators have been trying to fly in for a special session for days.

I saw a patch of blue for awhile this morning too. I hope to see a little more of it before....January!! (-:

It was 80 degrees today in So Cal, though I know that winter will come. I saw a red-tailed hawk out my office window today. Sorry I haven't visited much lately, but I'll be visiting more often now. Too much travel and too many projects and family-related stuff going on lately.

Great pic, as always. And I definitely relate: I try to run outside every time I see a piece of blue sky these days.

It's nice when blue breaks through the gray.
