Frost in the Field

Heavy frost in my realm this morning, and deep cold to come in the days, weeks and months ahead, but now (before the snow flies), the colours of the wild herbs and native grasses are lush, vivid and beautiful to behold.

There have been system problems here this week, and my endeavours in the last few days have been fraught with failure and grave frustration. The system is healthy, but both I and my web access are not, and things have been up and down, up and down, up and down for the last several days.

All will be in order when my ISP makes repairs to existing equipment and installs a new cable later today, and I am so looking forward to it - I shall return this afternoon, and (hopefully) everything including my benighted mail protocols will be back to normal. I owe so many of you a message.

In the meantime, there is a good fire of oak and birch burning on the hearth and soothing hot potions steeping on the wood stove in the kitchen. Tea anyone?

I would love some. :) The colors in your photograph are beautiful. Makes me one to get out with the camera on this frosty morning.
