Morning Colour

Spring, and I awoke this morning to a riotous profusion of colour in the garden behind the little blue house. There are such vibrant hues, such depth and such intensity to be seen.

Could I appreciate this richness of colour if no winter came before it? This is a question I ask myself every year. These wonders have their quiet beginnings underneath a deep snow comforter, and without the long white season, I would not be marvelling at the garden this morning. There is something else to marvel at — the squirrels did not filch the Spring bulbs in the back garden this year. Not a crocus or a tulip is to be seen in the garden at the front of the house.

I was looking for a post you made a few days back and discovered that I had somehow missed this lovely post. Yummy color!
I have to enjoy crocus and tulips in town - the squirrels seem to think they are put out for their breakfast :=) The few crocus that managed to come up this year got munched by squirrels

Lovely!
