Summer Reading

Summer is a comfortable chair on the deck when my chores are done, Beau at my feet, a good book in my lap and a mug of tea in my hand.

I read the same sorts of things as I do during the rest of the year, but my summer reading tends to be a little lighter, and there are occasional forays into speculative fiction, magical realism, modern whodunnits and historical mysteries.

My summer literature choices are serendipity things and seem to make themselves, appearing at my library, local thrift shops, yard sales and the little free libraries that have sprung up everywhere in the village.
