Beautiful. Didn't think I'd ever seen one in the wild and looking at the range map I discover that's because we don't have them in the Western part of the United States.
Aren't they lovely to discover when walking in the spring woods? So precious.
I have particular affection for trout lilies because of the name (all lilies are my kin) and because they come early in spring, earlier this year.
