This is turning out to be one of those summers when I awaken, peer through the kitchen window in foggy fashion as I am making coffee and try to decide how I will dress for the day: hip waders, oilskins and umbrella, a straw hat, parasol to keep off the sun and buckets of sunscreen? Do I need a warm jacket, a sweater or a summer weight shirt?
For all the weatherly oscillations to which we have fallen heir this summer, there are choirs of songbirds and roses after the rain, this morning, a bloom on the delicate pink fairy rose which was a gift from my daughter last year around this time. I call her Titania, and she is a joy.
A true beauty to behold.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you this day.
