Leaden skies in the village this morning and a steady soaking rain falling beyond the windows. It's the sort of morning when one ponders going back to bed for an hour or two with a pot of Ceylon tea and a good book.Weather and the first virus of the season notwithstanding, here I am, dressed, oilskined and standing in my garden with the camera and flash, peering here and there, searching everywhere for pattern and color.
There's a pleasing tableau of raindrops on withered foliage in the hedgerow at the bottom of the garden, and the few remaining strands of our garden spider's earlier spinning look like strings of pearls and opals.
There's always something wonderful to look at here, even on a dank morning in middling November.
That truly is your gift...recognizing and finding pattern and color. How grateful I am that you share it with us.
ReplyDeleteThat steady rain is falling here also - it has washed away the snow that covered the ground just yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!!
I love the rain against the window light. It says it all, my friend. Thinking of you- as always. xoxo K
