On such mornings, one has a fleeting wonder-filled glimpse into balance, eternity and enlightenment, and she remembers it forever. Emaho...
Thanks for mentioned my post, Cate. It seems as though these clouds must have been quite widespread and similar for quite some area. How neat!
ReplyDeleteWhen I see a sky like that,I think of the passage from the book, Ahab's Wife by Sena Jeter Naslund,
ReplyDelete"Dawn had come upon us. The dawn-drenched clouds suggested wings: mauve, purple, rose, gold-outlined-and the sky seemed full of gigantic beings. Though they had no real form, yet they flew and floated in their domain. 'Angels' was all I could say."
I refer to them as "Una skies"! I loved that book and highly recommend it if you have not read it.
I am reading the Cloud Spotters Guide by Gavin Pretor-Pinney - but this is the most beautiful photo I have ever seen of clouds. What wonder.
ReplyDeleteand thank you Anonymouse for the heads up to Ahab's Wife.
