Wrenaissance Woman, the first photo is of something fairly common here, plain old milkweed (Asclepias syriaca), and it's a plant I love looking at in any season - lovely fragrant stuff at this time of year. The second photo is a caterpillar of the Monarch butterfly species, the first one on my hill this year, although I found many more during the weekend.
Beautiful. What plant is that in the top photo?

ReplyDeleteBeautiful monarch, I am pleased that I, too, have several in my butterfly garden at the moment. :)
