I paint, my friend, but not very well and I make such messes when I do. The jars are cheerful though, and I love all the color....

I have begun once again the lovely pastime of creating an illuminated journal. I had let this slide by for years, thinking I didn't have the time to take it up again. I can't afford to NOT take it up again! The peace and play it offers me is invaluable to my well-being. Small drawings of what I see around me, embellished with watercolors and a line or two from a fitting poem. My heart thrills at the sight of my tempura colors all lined up in their sweet little jars, and my brushes poised and waiting for when the notion strikes to create a little scene. Bliss...
