Thursday Poem - What We Need Is Here

Geese appear high over us,
pass, and the sky closes. Abandon,
as in love or sleep, holds
them to their way, clear
in the ancient faith: what we need
is here. And we pray, not
for new earth or heaven, but to be
quiet in heart, and in eye,
clear. What we need is here.

And that is how healing begins.

It made my heart feel all strange - in a good way.

Hi Cate,

I'm just back from a week in northern Wisconsin. It is a pleasure to return to your blog.

My goddess, Cassie was so lucky to walk into so many sunrises with you. Her spirit pulses through your words and into my heart. I cried helplessly when I saw her photos.

Your heart must be broken.

I revel in the photos, thoughts and poems that you have published in the last 6 posts or so.
